Twentytwelve
Sunday, January 1, 2012 at 14:35 I'm guessing it's pretty obvious that I don't blog much anymore. Mostly because of this thing eating up all the time I have to spare. But also because of Twitter and Facebook, where it just happens to be quicker and easier to express myself, socially network and share.
Still, for those of you who've stuck around for the duration of the dry spell: Welcome to the Future.
2012 is going to be a pretty exciting year, and I'm not talking about Mayan prophecies. The Secret World will finally be out, ending -- or not ending, but paragraphing -- more than five years of development. We won't be leaving TSW behind, of course, since there's tons more to come after launch, but at least we'll be able to catch our breath and look ahead.
And what's ahead? That's too early to say, but rest assured that I haven't, and will not, leave The Longest Journey and Dreamfall fans in the dark forever. Chapters is going to happen, and hopefully this year you'll know when and how.
There might also be other stuff, but it's only January, so let's pace ourselves.
Around this time, I've usually done my lists of top games and films of the year that's been, and that's in the works. Mostly for my own benefit, to recap and process a bit, but hopefully it'll help some of you discover things you haven't yet.
January the one, then. Twentytwelve. Year of prophecy, change and release.

I sooo happy to hear you speak about tlj and dreamfall. I almost lost any hope that i will play that. And now my hopes are rised again.
Best wishes to TSW - it looks awesome. I definitely will try it, but nothing can replace TLJ and that universe.

Thank you for the update for Dreamfall and The Longest Journey. Dreamfall is the game that made me realize that games have great and very unique potentials to tell stories in ways that novels or movies can't achieve.
I like your games because although they are often futuristic but also somewhat organic at the same time. It's really pity that they haven't been localized in my country(Japan). I don't know why but I always find some kind of ethical sense in your game that is common in our culture.
Anyway I wish you a good luck on The Secret World. I just hope I'll have enough spare time to play it....

Wow! I really hope, that there will be some news on Dreamfall/TLJ this year.
Frankly, this year will be truly exciting. XCOM, XCOM: Enemy Unknown and now also Dreamfall Chapters.
I'm really hoping you finish up the Longest Journey's story, it is by far the most amazing tale I've ever played and I just want to see how the story ends ^^
Just wanted to say that the fact that we're waiting for the sequel to Dreamfall FOR SIX DAMN YEARS is just ridiculous. If you could just end this game like the 1st one - without open ending - that would be ok, but no - plot is halfway through and now you expect us - the players, the fans - to wait another years for few glimpses of hope? Are you serious? Is that a way to treat your fans? Funcom - you should be ashamed.
Sorry for those bitter words, but I'm running out of patience. I mean, I have rights for that - it's been six years and still there's no possible date when you'll start to MAKE the game. How cruel is that?

I'm always coming here to know a little bit more about Dreamfall....and hope there will be an end to the sequel (and really an end :p lol) . Dreamfall was so magic....I can't wait anymore and know that even if it's not a business success....if it's like dreamfall it will be one of the best game ever.....I can't wait for that coming in my hands.

Also can I ask you about something personal? I am beginner in writning scenario and now I write story for adventure. Can you say what books help you to write such intresting and leaving characters?
I just can't wait to play Dreamfall Chapters. There are still so many questions to be answered and I love the characters. So great to hear, it's not been forgotten... And also great to see, there are still other fans waiting for it :-)
