You know that a game is overhyped when IGN makes the time and date of the review a story. I am, of course, talking about Halo 2, also known as the Second Coming of Christ. Will it go to eleven, or will it trip and fall? Heck, I got the special edition on order (tin! It's shiny!), so if it's the latter, I - and a million others - got duped by the hype machine. Wait: I hear the buzzing of bees.

I can't remember the last time so many huge titles were released in such a short span of time. From September onwards, it's been one long Christmas Eve for gamers - and one long, painful visit to the dentist for our wallets. And it's not letting up any time soon. I still haven't finished DOOM 3, and now Half-Life 2 is just around the corner. Ack. At least I get to call it 'research' with a straight face. There are advantages to this job.
Comments:
Still on Doom 3? That game, even with reading all the emails etc... took an evening and a half. Now that game was over hyped, it was not good at all.

Half-Life 2 is also being hyped down to when Gabe goes to toilet, it's a breaking story. I'm getting that for free with the ATI deal. The engine is damn good, CS:Source shows that.

Halo 2, well I'm getting an Xbox for that game, Fable, and Psychonauts also played a factor. Halo was the bees knees, and underated by most FPS fans, probably because the PC version was clunky at best.

In other news (and despite the count of the provisional ballots), it appears, frighteningly, that Bush has won reelection. I weep.

Bees? I know what you mean. I've been a rabid ilovebees fan :)

The finale is on Thursday, for those wondering. It's never too late to catch up -- http://www.ilovebees.com/humptydumpty.html

I don't understand why people are pro Kerry if they are not american, and are not democrat. People being anti-Bush must have been anti-Clinton, and anti-Bush senior because I don't see how he did anything much different to them. I was pro-Clinton on Serbia/Kosovo and the bombings on Iraq during his term.

I called Bush to win, no one had confidence in Kerry, I doubt even Kerry did.

As a non-american I saw the election as the tagline to AvP. "Whoever wins... We lose."
