Tinkered a bit with
The Sims 2 yesterday, and I am fully aware that this is a game that I can get dangerously hooked on. Roughly similar to its progenitor, the updated engine, the gameplay modifications - specifically the character goals - the amazing animations, and the wealth of design options nevertheless make this one a solid evolution of the franchise. I loved
The Sims but grew tired of it quite quickly. With this one, I think there's more reason and incentive to keep playing. And playing. And playing. God help us all.
Luckily, I'll be leaving my PC at home on Friday, when I head out to New York. My new super-light 12" PowerBook will, for the first time, accompany me as my Word/mail/internet buddy; no
Sims 2 there...yet.
