Was supposed to see
Intolerable Cruelty tonight, but we managed to go to the wrong screen in the multiplex, and ended up watching a Norwegian flick,
Buddy, instead. And while the latter was all right - it started off well but got mired down in sub-plots, and suffered a general lack of direction and motivation - I really did have my heart set on watching the latest from the Coen brothers. So: Grr.
(But hey, our fault for picking the wrong screen. We should have suspected something was up when the theatre was only quarter full.)
I was lucky enough to get an incredible deal on a copy of
SSX 3 for the Xbox today; brand new for less than $20. The game was priced wrong in the store - someone had obviously screwed up the pricetags - but the store's policy is to honour the sticker price, so yay. I hadn't planned on buying it (too many games to play, absolutely no time to play 'em), but it was definitely worth it. I've spent a couple of hours getting to grips with it, and it's brilliant, but quite hard.
Well underway with the Christmas shopping now, and already I'm eight down and...well, lots and lots to go. But at least I've started, so I'm well ahead of my typically rushed gift shopping schedule. Every year I forget just how expensive Christmas is. It's really bloody expensive. And I'm already broke.
