The teaser for
Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban is out, and though I'm sure you've all seen it by now, it's worth linking to:
http://www.themoviebox.net/trailers/harrypotter3/Quite honestly, it looks fantastic. There's a different feel to it, darker and more gothic than the first two movies, and since it's also based on the best book in the series, I'd say there's a fair chance this will be a wonderful movie.
But why-oh-why is it being released in June? Looking at the teaser, this is a Holiday movie - like
The Return of the King, perfect mid-winter entertainment. June is for big explosions, alien invasions, light comedy, and super-heroes. Christmas is for more subtle thrills, fairy-tales, magic, and fantasy. And I like traditions, so even though it's been an annual thing now for just two years, I can't get into a holiday mood without either
Harry Potter or
The Lord of the Rings - or, preferably, both.
Well. Back to the grindstone.
