Driving to work today, I passed two cats lying right next to each other by the side of the road. They looked exactly alike; both were black, they were the same size, the same breed -- and both were beautiful. They might have been siblings. The cats were probably killed at the same time, maybe by the same speeding car. It was a really, really tragic and heartbreaking sight, and it must have been absolutely horrible for the owner to lose two cats on the same day. On that particular stretch of road, the speed-limit is low and the killer(s) must have been speeding. Some people are completely without empathy and respect for living creatures. It was a very depressing way to begin a very depressing day. ¶ 22:57
