The Potter-kid and I have one thing in common:
We were both born on July 31st.
This is not a Harry Potter rave or rant, by the way. I just think it's cool that, of all the dates in a year (365 of 'em, believe it or not), the author would pick
my birthday. Yes, I know; it's a magical fairy-tale day.
As for Mr. Potter, I have read the first book, but I haven't yet seen the movie. I liked "...and the Philosopher's Stone" and I'm planning to read the subsequent novels as soon as there's an open slot in my very busy reading schedule. Neil Gaiman's"Books of Magic" did much the same thing with a different Harry (that one also had round spectacles) long before J.K. Rowling wrote about Hogswarth and Quidditch matches, but there you go. Nothing is ever completely new.
Seven days and counting until December 19th.
